രാജ്യത്തെ നയിക്കുന്ന ശക്തിയാണ് ഭരണഘടനയെന്നും ഭരണഘടനയുടെ സത്ത രാജ്യത്തെ ഓരോ പൗരനും ഉൾക്കൊള്ളണമെന്നും ഗവർണർ രാജേന്ദ്ര വിശ്വനാഥ് അർലേക്കർ. ഇന്ത്യൻ ഭരണഘടനയുടെ 75-ാം വാർഷികാഘോഷത്തിന്റേയും, ഭരണഘടനാ ശില്പി ഡോ ബി. ആർ അംബേദ്ക്കറുടെ 134-ാം ജന്മവാർഷികത്തിന്റേയും ഭാഗമായി യുവജന കായിക മന്ത്രാലയം നെഹ്രു യുവകേന്ദ്രയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച ജയ് ഭീം പദയാത്ര കവടിയാർ വിവേകാനന്ദ പ്രതിമക്ക് മുന്നിൽ ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്ത് സംസാരിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം.
അധസ്ഥിത വിഭാഗങ്ങള സേവിക്കാനും അവരുടെ അവകാശങ്ങൾ ഉയർത്തിപ്പിടിക്കാനും ആഹ്വാനം നൽകിയ ഡോ. ബി ആർ അംബേദ്ക്കർ, രാജ്യത്തിന് പ്രഥമ സ്ഥാനം നൽകണമെന്നും ആരും ഭരണഘടനയ്ക്ക് അതീതരല്ലെന്നമുള്ള സന്ദേശമാണ് നൽകിയതെന്ന് ഗവർണർ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി. 2047ൽ വികസിതഭാരതമെന്ന വലിയ സ്വപ്നം പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി നമുക്ക് നൽകിയിട്ടുള്ളത് രാജ്യം ആദ്യം എന്ന ചിന്തക്ക് അനുസൃതമായാണ്. ഈ ലക്ഷ്യസാക്ഷാത്കാരത്തിന് യുവാക്കൾക്ക് വലിയ പങ്കാണുള്ളതെന്നും ഗവർണർ കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു. മുൻ കേന്ദ്ര സഹമന്ത്രി വി. മുരളീധരൻ ഭരണഘടനയുടെ ആമുഖം ചടങ്ങിൽ പ്രതിജ്ഞയായി ചൊല്ലിക്കൊടുത്തു. നെഹ്രു യുവകേന്ദ്ര സ്റ്റേറ്റ് ഡയറക്ടർ എം.അനിൽകുമാർ സ്വാഗതം ആശംസിച്ചു.
രാജ്യത്താകമാനം നടത്തുന്ന പദയാത്രകളുടെ ഭാഗമായി സംസ്ഥാന തലത്തിൽ സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച ജയ് ഭീം പദയാത്ര കവടിയാർ വിവേകാനന്ദ പ്രതിമയ്ക്ക് മുന്നിൽ ഗവർണർ രാജേന്ദ്ര വിശ്വനാഥ് അർലേക്കർ ഫ്ലാഗ് ഓഫ് ചെയ്തു. പദയാത്ര വെള്ളയമ്പലം അയ്യൻകാളി പ്രതിമക്ക് മുന്നിൽ സമാപിച്ചു. പദയാത്രയിൽ നെഹ്രു യുവകേന്ദ്ര, എൻ.എസ്.എസ്, എൻ .സി.സി, വോളണ്ടിയർമാരും, സ്പോർട്ട്സ് അതോറിറ്റി ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യ, യുവജന സംഘടനാ പ്രതിനിധികളും പങ്കെടുത്തു.
“Padayatra reflects our commitment to B.R. Ambedkar’s ideals”: Kerala Governor flags Off Jai Bhim Padayatra
Kerala Governor Shri Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar said that the Padayatra reflects a collective commitment to what Dr. B.R. Ambedkar stood for — the service of the downtrodden and the upliftment of the common people. He was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of Jai Bhim Padayatra organised by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan (NYKS) under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports at Kowdiar Vivekananda Statue, Thiruvananthapuram today.
The Governor underlined Dr. Ambedkar’s pivotal role in the framing of the Constitution of India, which continues to guide the functioning of the country’s legislative, executive, and judicial systems. He said the Constitution should be understood not just through its written text, but through the spirit it embodies. He also highlighted that Dr. Ambedkar worked for the welfare of all, especially the marginalised, and urged the youth to carry his message to the wider society.
He added that the youth must dedicate themselves to the soil of this country, to the Constitution, and to the values upheld by Dr. Ambedkar. Referring to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047, the Governor said that young people have a vital role to play in realising this goal, and are being continuously inspired to contribute to nation-building.
