പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദിയുടെ അധ്യക്ഷതയിൽ ഇന്ന് ചേർന്ന കേന്ദ്ര മന്ത്രിസഭ, കേന്ദ്ര സർക്കാർ ജീവനക്കാർക്ക് ക്ഷാമബത്തയുടെയും (DA) പെൻഷൻകാർക്ക് ക്ഷാമാശ്വാസത്തിന്റെയും (DR) അധിക ഗഡു അനുവദിക്കുന്നതിന് അംഗീകാരം നൽകി. വിലക്കയറ്റത്തിന്റെ ആഘാതം പരിഹരിക്കുന്നതിനായി, അടിസ്ഥാന ശമ്പളത്തിന്റെയും പെൻഷന്റെയും നിലവിലുള്ള 60 ശതമാനം നിരക്കിന് മുകളിൽ 3 ശതമാനം വർധനയോടെ, 2026 ജൂലൈ 1 മുതൽ പ്രാബല്യത്തിൽ വരുന്ന രീതിയിലാണ് ഇത് അനുവദിക്കുന്നത്.
ക്ഷാമബത്തയിലും ക്ഷാമാശ്വാസത്തിലും വരുത്തുന്ന വർധന മൂലം ഖജനാവിന് പ്രതിവർഷം ആകെ 10,016.10 കോടി രൂപയുടെ അധിക ചെലവുണ്ടാകും. ഏകദേശം 48.54 ലക്ഷം കേന്ദ്ര സർക്കാർ ജീവനക്കാർക്കും 68.71 ലക്ഷം പെൻഷൻകാർക്കും ഇതിന്റെ പ്രയോജനം ലഭിക്കും.
ഏഴാം കേന്ദ്ര ശമ്പള കമ്മീഷന്റെ ശുപാർശകളുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ അംഗീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ട ഫോർമുലയ്ക്ക് അനുസൃതമായാണ് ഈ വർദ്ധനവ് വരുത്തിയിട്ടുള്ളത്.
Union Cabinet approves increase in dearness allowance of central government employees and dearness relief of pensioners
The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi today approved the release of additional instalment of dearness allowance (DA) to Central Government employees and dearness relief (DR) to pensioners. This is being granted with effect from July 1, 2026, with an increase of 3 per cent over the existing 60 per cent of basic pay and pension, to address the impact of inflation.
The increase in dearness allowance and dearness relief will result in a total additional expenditure of Rs 10,016.10 crore per annum to the exchequer. Approximately 48.54 lakh central government employees and 68.71 lakh pensioners will benefit from this.
This increase has been made in accordance with the formula approved based on the recommendations of the Seventh Central Pay Commission.
