വിദേശകാര്യ മന്ത്രാലയം ഏർപ്പെടുത്തിയ പാസ്പോർട്ട് സേവാ പുരസ്കാരത്തിന് കീഴിൽ 2025–26 വർഷത്തിൽ കൊച്ചിയിലെ റീജിയണൽ പാസ്പോർട്ട് ഓഫീസ് (ആർപിഒ) ഇന്ത്യയിലെ “മികച്ച പാസ്പോർട്ട് ഓഫീസ്” ആയി തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു.
2026 ജൂൺ 19 ന് ന്യൂഡൽഹിയിൽ നടന്ന പാസ്പോർട്ട് സേവാ ദിവസ് ആഘോഷങ്ങളിലും റീജിയണൽ പാസ്പോർട്ട് ഓഫീസർമാരുടെ സമ്മേളനത്തിലും ബഹുമാനപ്പെട്ട വിദേശകാര്യ മന്ത്രി ഡോ. സുബ്രഹ്മണ്യം ജയ്ശങ്കർ ഈ അഭിമാനകരമായ അവാർഡ് ദിപിൻ പി.ആർ. ഐ.എഫ്.എസ്, എൽ
കൊച്ചിയിലെ റീജിയണൽ പാസ്പോർട്ട് ഓഫീസർക്ക് സമ്മാനിച്ചു.
പാസ്പോർട്ട് ഓഫീസുകളുടെ കാര്യക്ഷമത വിലയിരുത്തുന്നതിന് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന മിക്കവാറും എല്ലാ പ്രധാന പ്രകടന മാനദണ്ഡങ്ങളിലും കൊച്ചിയിലെ ആർപിഒ മികവ് പുലർത്തി. അപ്പോയിന്റ്മെന്റ് ലഭ്യത, പാസ്പോർട്ട് അപേക്ഷകൾ പ്രോസസ്സ് ചെയ്യുന്നതിന് എടുക്കുന്ന സമയം, പരാതി പരിഹാരം, പാസ്പോർട്ട് ഇഷ്യൂവിന്റെ വേഗത, ജീവനക്കാരുടെ ഉൽപ്പാദനക്ഷമത, പെൻഡൻസി മാനേജ്മെന്റ്, പാസ്പോർട്ട് സേവാ കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നുള്ള ഫയൽ വർദ്ധനവ് കുറയ്ക്കൽ എന്നിവ ഇതിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു.
2013-14 ൽ വിദേശകാര്യ മന്ത്രാലയം പാസ്പോർട്ട് സേവാ പുരസ്കാരം ആരംഭിച്ചതിനുശേഷം ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച പാസ്പോർട്ട് ഓഫീസായി കൊച്ചിൻ ആർപിഒയെ അംഗീകരിക്കുന്ന 9-ാമത്തെ അവസരമാണിത്.
2025–26 കാലയളവിലെ പാസ്പോർട്ട് പരിശോധനാ പ്രകടനത്തെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കി സംസ്ഥാന പോലീസിനുള്ള സ്ഥാപന പ്രകടന അവാർഡ് കേരള പോലീസിന് ലഭിച്ചു എന്നതാണ് മറ്റൊരു പ്രധാന നേട്ടം. കേരള പോലീസിന് വേണ്ടി കേരള ഡയറക്ടർ ജനറൽ ശ്രീ റവാദ എ ചന്ദ്രശേഖർ ഐപിഎസ് ആണ് അവാർഡ് സ്വീകരിച്ചത്.
വ്യക്തിഗത പ്രകടന വിഭാഗങ്ങളിൽ കൊച്ചിൻ ആർപിഒ ശ്രീമതി സുജാനി കെ. മികച്ച വെരിഫിക്കേഷൻ ഓഫീസറായി തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു, കൊച്ചിൻ ആർപിഒയുടെ അധികാരപരിധിയിലുള്ള തൃശ്ശൂരിലെ പാസ്പോർട്ട് സേവാ കേന്ദ്രത്തിലെ കസ്റ്റമർ സർവീസ് മാനേജർ ശ്രീ കെ. ദിലീപ് മികച്ച കസ്റ്റമർ സർവീസ് മാനേജർ (സിഎസ്എം)ക്കുള്ള അവാർഡ് നേടി.
കൊച്ചിൻ ആർപിഒയുടെ മികച്ച പ്രകടനം, അതിലെ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരുടെയും ജീവനക്കാരുടെയും കൂട്ടായ പരിശ്രമത്തെയും, പോലീസ് പരിശോധന വേഗത്തിലാക്കുന്നതിൽ കേരള പോലീസും പാസ്പോർട്ടുകൾ യഥാസമയം അയയ്ക്കുന്നതിൽ തപാൽ വകുപ്പും നൽകിയ വിലമതിക്കാനാവാത്ത പിന്തുണയെയും പ്രതിഫലിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. പൗരന്മാർക്ക് നൽകുന്ന പാസ്പോർട്ട് സേവനങ്ങളുടെ കാര്യക്ഷമതയും ഗുണനിലവാരവും വർദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിന് അവരുടെ ഏകോപിത ശ്രമങ്ങൾ ഗണ്യമായി സഹായിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
Regional Passport Office, Cochin Wins the “Best Passport Office” in India Award
The Regional Passport Office (RPO), Cochin, has been adjudged as the “Best Passport Office” in India for the year 2025–26 under the Passport Seva Puraskar instituted by Ministry of External Affairs.
The prestigious award was presented by Hon’ble External Affairs Minister Dr. Subrahmanyam Jaishankar to Shri Dipin P.R. IFS, Regional Passport Officer, Cochin, during the Passport Seva Divas celebrations and the Regional Passport Officers’ Conference held in New Delhi on 19 June 2026.
RPO, Cochin, excelled across almost all key performance parameters used to assess the efficiency of Passport Offices. These include appointment availability, time taken for processing passport applications, grievance redressal, speed of passport issuance, employee productivity, pendency management, and minimisation of file escalations from Passport Seva Kendras.
This marks the 9th occasion on which RPO, Cochin, has been recognised as the Best Passport Office in India since the institution of the Passport Seva Puraskar by the Ministry of External Affairs in 2013-14.
In another significant achievement, the Kerala Police was conferred the Institutional Performance Award for the State Police based on passport verification performance during 2025–26. The award was received by the Director General of Police, Kerala, Shri Ravada A Chandrasekhar, IPS, on behalf of the Kerala Police.
RPO, Cochin, also secured accolades in the individual performance categories. Smt. Sujani K., Assistant Superintendent, RPO, Cochin, was honoured as the Best Verification Officer, while Shri K. Dileep, Customer Service Manager, Passport Seva Kendra, Thrissur, under the jurisdiction of RPO, Cochin, received the award for Best Customer Service Manager (CSM).
The outstanding performance of RPO, Cochin, reflects the collective efforts of its officers and staff, as well as the invaluable support extended by the Kerala Police in ensuring prompt police verification and the Department of Posts in facilitating the timely dispatch of passports. Their coordinated efforts have significantly contributed to enhancing the efficiency and quality of passport services delivered to citizens.
