ദേശീയ ആരോഗ്യ നയം വിവരിക്കവെ ആയുഷ്മാൻ ഭാരതിന്റെ പരിവർത്തനാത്മക പങ്കിനെക്കുറിച്ചും ശക്തമായ പ്രാഥമിക ആരോഗ്യ ശൃംഖലകളുടെ പ്രാധാന്യത്തെക്കുറിച്ചും അവർ സംസാരിച്ചു. സൗഖ്യത്തിന് ഊന്നൽ നൽകുന്നതാണ് ദേശീയ ആരോഗ്യ നയമെന്നും സെക്രട്ടറി ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി. സാംക്രമികേതര രോഗങ്ങളുടെ നേരത്തെയുള്ള നിർണയം , മാനസികാരോഗ്യം, പാലിയേറ്റീവ്, ജെറിയാട്രിക് കെയർ എന്നിവയും ഇന്ന്
പ്രാഥമിക ആരോഗ്യ കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിൽ നടക്കുന്നതായി ശ്രീമതി പുണ്യ സലില ശ്രീവാസ്തവ കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു.
ആയുഷ്മാൻ ഭാരത് ഡിജിറ്റൽ ആരോഗ്യ ചട്ടക്കൂടിന് കീഴിൽ പ്രാപ്യമായ ഡിജിറ്റൽ ആരോഗ്യ രേഖകളുടെ പ്രാധാന്യവും ശ്രീമതി പുണ്യ സലീല ശ്രീവാസ്തവ ഊന്നിപ്പറഞ്ഞു. ശ്രീചിത്രയുടെ സുവർണ്ണ ജൂബിലി ലോഗോയും സെക്രട്ടറി പ്രകാശനം ചെയ്തു.
കേന്ദ്ര ശാസ്ത്ര സാങ്കേതിക വകുപ്പ് സഹമന്ത്രി (സ്വതന്ത്ര ചുമതല) ശ്രീ ജിതേന്ദ്ര സിംഗിന്റെ വീഡിയോ സന്ദേശവും ചടങ്ങിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നു. ലോകോത്തര നിലവാരമുള്ള മെഡിക്കൽ ഉപകരണങ്ങൾ, കുറഞ്ഞ ചിലവിൽ തദ്ദേശീയമായി വികസിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിൽ ശ്രീ ചിത്ര ഇൻസ്റ്റിറ്റ്യൂട്ട് സുപ്രധാന സംഭാവന നൽകുന്നതായി അദ്ദേഹം അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു. ശ്രീചിത്രയിലെ
പ്രധാൻ മന്ത്രി സ്വാസ്ഥ്യ സുരക്ഷ യോജന ബ്ലോക്കിലൂടെ നിരവധി പേർക്ക് ചികിത്സ സഹായം നൽകിയതായി അദ്ദേഹം ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി. കാർഡിയോളജി, ന്യൂറോ സർജറി മേഖലയിൽ രാജ്യത്തെ തന്നെ ഏറ്റവും വിപുലമായ ചികിത്സ സൗകര്യങ്ങൾ ഇവിടെ ഒരുക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം കൂട്ടിച്ചേർത്തു.

SCTIMST holds 42nd Annual Convocation and 9th G. Parthasarathi Memorial Oration
The Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) today held its 42nd Annual Convocation and the 9th G. Parthasarathi Memorial Oration at the Achutha Menon Centre for Health Science Studies auditorium, Thiruvananthapuram.
A total of 130 senior residents and students received degrees and diplomas upon successful completion of DM, MCh, PhD, PDF, PDCC, MPH, Diploma and PG Diploma programmes, marking a major academic milestone for the institute.
Delivering the Convocation Address, Chief Guest Smt. Punya Salila Srivastava IAS, Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, said that graduating from SCTIMST is both a privilege and a responsibility. She urged the graduands to understand India’s evolving healthcare architecture and contribute meaningfully to strengthening public health systems.
Speaking on the Ayushman Bharat framework, she outlined the importance of early screening, morbidity identification, and robust referral pathways from primary healthcare centres to tertiary institutions. She highlighted the role of Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, Health and Wellness Centres, community health centres, district hospitals, medical colleges, and empanelled private hospitals under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana in delivering accessible healthcare across the country.
Emphasizing the significance of Ayushman Bharat Digital Health, she noted that integrated digital health records are essential to ensuring continuity of care, allowing patients’ medical histories to be accessible across healthcare facilities nationwide.
Addressing future healthcare advancements, Smt. Srivastava underscored the growing importance of Artificial Intelligence, open digital platforms, and data benchmarking in transforming healthcare systems. She encouraged the graduating students to remain prepared for these technological shifts while contributing to innovation in medicine and public health.
She also called upon the graduates to practice patience, empathy, and compassion, reminding them that their words hold immense significance in patient care. Stressing the importance of ethical conduct, she stated that the vision of Viksit Bharat can only be achieved through integrity-driven service.
Smt. Punya Salila Srivastava also released the SCTIMST Golden Jubilee logo during the ceremony.
