2025-26 സാമ്പത്തിക വർഷത്തിൽ തപാൽ വകുപ്പ് ദേശീയതലത്തിൽ 16 ശതമാനം വരുമാന വളർച്ച രേഖപ്പെടുത്തി. ഈ ദേശീയ മുന്നേറ്റത്തിൻ്റെ പ്രതിഫലനമെന്നോണം, കേരള പോസ്റ്റൽ സർക്കിൾ വരുമാനത്തിൽ 10 ശതമാനം വളർച്ച കൈവരിച്ചു. ലോക്ക്ഡൗണിന് ശേഷമുള്ള കാലയളവിൽ ഇതാദ്യമായാണ് കേരള സർക്കിൾ രണ്ടക്ക വളർച്ച നേടുന്നത്. 2026-27 സാമ്പത്തിക വർഷത്തിലെ പാഴ്സൽ വരുമാന വളർച്ചയിൽ, 2026 ഏപ്രിലിൽ കേരള സർക്കിൾ ദേശീയതലത്തിൽ മൂന്നാം സ്ഥാനം നേടി.
കൊച്ചിയിൽ ഇന്ന് നടന്ന വാർത്താസമ്മേളനത്തിൽ ഉപഭോക്തൃ കേന്ദ്രീകൃതമായ പുതിയ സംരംഭങ്ങളുടെ ഒരു പരമ്പര പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ചീഫ് പോസ്റ്റ്മാസ്റ്റർ ജനറൽ പി.എൻ. രഞ്ജിത് കുമാർ സംസാരിച്ചു. പരിഷ്കരിച്ച മെയിൽ സർവീസ് നെറ്റ്വർക്കിനൊപ്പം പാഴ്സൽ പിക്ക്-അപ്പ് പോയിൻ്റുകൾ, ചെടികളും തൈകളും സുരക്ഷിതമായി എത്തിക്കൽ, അതേ ദിവസം തന്നെയുള്ള ഡെലിവറി എന്നിവയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട പൈലറ്റ് പദ്ധതികൾക്ക് കേരള സർക്കിൾ തുടക്കം കുറിച്ചതായി അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു. സാമൂഹികവും സാമ്പത്തികവുമായ ഉൾച്ചേർക്കൽ ലക്ഷ്യമിട്ട് വകുപ്പ് നടപ്പിലാക്കുന്ന വിവിധ സാമൂഹിക സമ്പർക്ക പരിപാടികളെക്കുറിച്ചും അദ്ദേഹം വിശദീകരിച്ചു.

പ്രധാന സോർട്ടിംഗ് ഹബ്ബുകളോട് ചേർന്നുള്ള തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത ഡെലിവറി ഓഫീസുകളിൽ നിന്ന് ആഴ്ചയിൽ ഏതു ദിവസവും ഏതു സമയത്തും ഉപഭോക്താക്കൾക്ക് ആഭ്യന്തര സ്പീഡ് പോസ്റ്റ് കത്തുകളും പാഴ്സലുകളും കൈപ്പറ്റാൻ സൗകര്യമൊരുക്കുന്ന ‘പിക്ക് പോസ്റ്റ് എക്സ്പ്രസ്’ പദ്ധതിക്ക് കേരള പോസ്റ്റൽ സർക്കിൾ തുടക്കം കുറിച്ചു.
തിരുവനന്തപുരം ഫോർട്ട് ഐ.ഡി.സി. (പിൻ 695023), എറണാകുളം ഹെഡ് പോസ്റ്റ് ഓഫീസ് (പിൻ 682011), കോഴിക്കോട് ഹെഡ് പോസ്റ്റ് ഓഫീസ് (പിൻ 673001) എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലാണ് ഈ പൈലറ്റ് സർവീസ് ആദ്യമായി അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.
മുൻഗണനാടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലുള്ള പ്രൊസസിംഗ്, ഒ.ടി.പി., തിരിച്ചറിയൽ രേഖ എന്നിവ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കിയുള്ള സുരക്ഷിതമായ കൈമാറ്റം, അടിയന്തിര തപാൽ ഉരുപ്പടികളുടെ വിശ്വസനീയമായ കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യൽ എന്നിവ ഈ സേവനം വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്യുന്നു.

പൈലറ്റ് ഘട്ടം വിജയകരമായി പൂർത്തിയാക്കിയതിനെത്തുടർന്ന്, കേരളത്തിലെ പ്രധാന വാണിജ്യ കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളെ സംസ്ഥാന തലസ്ഥാനവുമായി ബന്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്ന സമ്പൂർണ്ണ വാണിജ്യ സേവനമായി ‘കാപ്പിറ്റൽ എക്സ്പ്രസ്’ ഇപ്പോൾ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു.
കൊച്ചി, കോട്ടയം, കൊല്ലം ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് ബുക്ക് ചെയ്യുന്ന മുൻഗണനാ ഉരുപ്പടികൾ, 24 മണിക്കൂറിനുള്ളിൽ തിരുവനന്തപുരം നഗരത്തിൽ അതേ ദിവസം തന്നെ വിതരണം ചെയ്യുമെന്ന് ഉറപ്പുനല്കുന്നു. ഇത് ഒരു ‘D+1’ വിതരണ മാതൃക സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്നു.
കാർഷിക പാഴ്സലുകൾക്കായി ‘ഗ്രീൻ എക്സ്പ്രസ്’
കേരളത്തിലെ ഹോർട്ടികൾച്ചർ, നഴ്സറി മേഖലകളെ പിന്തുണയ്ക്കുന്നതിനായി, ചെടികളും തൈകളും ഒന്നല്ലെങ്കിൽ രണ്ട് ദിവസത്തിനുള്ളിൽ എത്തിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള സമർപ്പിത പ്രീമിയം സേവനമായ ‘ഗ്രീൻ എക്സ്പ്രസ്’ കേരള പോസ്റ്റൽ സർക്കിൾ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചു.
ആദ്യഘട്ടത്തിൽ തിരുവനന്തപുരം നഗരത്തിലും പരിസര പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലും പൈലറ്റ് അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ നടപ്പിലാക്കിയ ഈ സേവനം, ഇപ്പോൾ വയനാട്, ഇടുക്കി, തൃശ്ശൂർ ജില്ലയിലെ മണ്ണുത്തി ഉൾപ്പെടെയുള്ള പ്രധാന കാർഷിക ഉത്പാദന കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളിലേക്ക് വ്യാപിപ്പിക്കുകയാണ്.
റോഡ് ഗതാഗത ശൃംഖലകളിലേക്കുള്ള മാറ്റം
തൊട്ടടുത്ത ദിവസം തന്നെയുള്ള ഡെലിവറി സേവനങ്ങൾ ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനായി, കേരള പോസ്റ്റൽ സർക്കിൾ പരമ്പരാഗത ട്രെയിൻ അധിഷ്ഠിത ഗതാഗത സംവിധാനങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് പ്രത്യേക റോഡ് ഗതാഗത ശൃംഖലകളിലേക്ക് മാറുകയാണ്.
ഈ പുനഃക്രമീകരണത്തിൻ്റെ ഭാഗമായി, നിലവിലുള്ള 8 ട്രെയിൻ സെക്ഷനുകൾക്ക് പകരം 13 പ്രത്യേക റോഡ് ഗതാഗത ശൃംഖലകൾ ഏർപ്പെടുത്തും. ഈ മാറ്റത്തിലൂടെ ഗതാഗതച്ചെലവ് 43 ശതമാനം കുറയുമെന്നാണ് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നത്. ഇത് ഡെലിവറി സമയക്രമം മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതോടൊപ്പം പ്രതിവർഷം ഏകദേശം 6 കോടി രൂപയുടെ ലാഭമുണ്ടാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.
വരുമാന മേഖലകളും സാങ്കേതിക നവീകരണവും
ഇന്ത്യ പോസ്റ്റിൻ്റെ പ്രവർത്തനപരമായ പരിവർത്തനത്തെ പിന്തുണയ്ക്കുന്നതിനായി അതിനെ ആറ് പ്രത്യേക മേഖലകളായി പുനഃക്രമീകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. പോസ്റ്റ് ഓഫീസ് സേവിംഗ്സ് ബാങ്ക് (POSB), മെയിൽ ഓപ്പറേഷൻസ്, പാഴ്സലുകൾ, ഇൻ്റർനാഷണൽ റിലേഷൻസ് ആൻഡ് ഗ്ലോബൽ ബിസിനസ് (IR&GB), പോസ്റ്റൽ ലൈഫ് ഇൻഷുറൻസ് (PLI), സിറ്റിസൺ-സെൻട്രിക് സർവീസസ് (CCS) എന്നിവയാണവ.
തപാൽ വകുപ്പ് സ്വന്തമായി വികസിപ്പിക്കുകയും പരിപാലിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ‘എ.പി.ടി. 2.0’ എന്ന ഒരു ഇൻ-ഹൗസ് ഡിജിറ്റൽ പ്ലാറ്റ്ഫോമാണ് ഈ നവീകരണ മുന്നേറ്റത്തിന് അടിത്തറയേകുന്നത്. സുരക്ഷിതമായ ഡിജിറ്റൽ പേയ്മെൻ്റുകൾ, ബയോമെട്രിക് പുതുക്കലുകൾ, ഓട്ടോമേറ്റഡ് ട്രാക്ക് ആൻഡ് ട്രേസ് സംവിധാനങ്ങൾ, ഒ.ടി.പി. അധിഷ്ഠിത ഡെലിവറി സംവിധാനങ്ങൾ എന്നിവയ്ക്ക് ഈ പ്ലാറ്റ്ഫോം പിന്തുണ നല്കുന്നു.
സാമൂഹിക ഇടപെടലും സാമ്പത്തിക ഉൾച്ചേർക്കലും
“സുരക്ഷിത ഗ്രാമം”
‘സുരക്ഷിത ഗ്രാമം’ എന്ന പ്രചാരണ പരിപാടിയുടെ ഭാഗമായി, ഗ്രാമീണ മേഖലകളിൽ തപാൽ, ബാങ്കിംഗ്, ഇൻഷുറൻസ് സേവനങ്ങൾ എന്നിവ എല്ലാവരിലേക്കും എത്തിക്കുന്നത് ഉറപ്പാക്കാൻ ഇന്ത്യ പോസ്റ്റ് ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്തുകളുമായി പങ്കാളിത്തത്തിൽ ഏർപ്പെടുന്നു. ഗ്രാമങ്ങളിൽ പൂർണ്ണമായ പോസ്റ്റൽ ലൈഫ് ഇൻഷുറൻസ് (PLI), റൂറൽ പോസ്റ്റൽ ലൈഫ് ഇൻഷുറൻസ് (RPLI) പരിരക്ഷ കൈവരിക്കാനാണ് ഈ പദ്ധതി ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നത്.
കേരള പോസ്റ്റൽ സർക്കിൾ സംസ്ഥാനത്തെ 941 ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്തുകളേയും 2026 ആഗസ്റ്റ് 31-നകം ഈ പദ്ധതിക്ക് കീഴിൽ കൊണ്ടുവരാൻ ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നു.
‘സമ്പൂർണ്ണ സുകന്യ സമൃദ്ധി വിദ്യാലയം’
10 വയസ്സിന് താഴെയുള്ള അർഹരായ എല്ലാ പെൺകുട്ടികൾക്കും സുകന്യ സമൃദ്ധി അക്കൗണ്ടുകൾ തുറക്കുന്നതിലാണ് ‘സമ്പൂർണ്ണ സുകന്യ സമൃദ്ധി വിദ്യാലയം’ പദ്ധതി ശ്രദ്ധ കേന്ദ്രീകരിക്കുന്നത്.
കാസർഗോഡ് ജില്ലയിലെ എളേരിത്തട്ടുമ്മൽ എ.എൽ.പി. സ്കൂളിലും ആലപ്പുഴ ഡിവിഷനിലും വിജയകരമായ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ ഇതിനകം നടത്തിക്കഴിഞ്ഞു. ഇവിടെ ഒരൊറ്റ കാമ്പയിനിലൂടെ 680 അക്കൗണ്ടുകളാണ് തുറന്നത്. ഇതിൽ 100 അക്കൗണ്ടുകൾ ജില്ലാ കളക്ടർ ശ്രീ അലക്സ് വർഗീസ് ഐ.എ.എസ്.-ൻ്റെ പിന്തുണയോടെ ആലപ്പുഴ റോട്ടറി ക്ലബ്ബാണ് സ്പോൺസർ ചെയ്തത്.
സ്കൂളുകളിലെ ആധാർ ക്യാമ്പുകൾ
ജില്ലാ ഭരണകൂടങ്ങളുമായും വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ വകുപ്പുമായും സഹകരിച്ച്, ഇന്ത്യാ പോസ്റ്റ് 2026 ജൂൺ മുതൽ ഓഗസ്റ്റ് വരെ കേരളത്തിലുടനീളമുള്ള സ്കൂളുകളിൽ ഒരു പ്രത്യേക “ക്യാമ്പ് മോഡ്” സംരംഭത്തിന് കീഴിൽ ആധാർ എൻറോൾമെൻ്റ്, ബയോമെട്രിക് അപ്ഡേറ്റ് ക്യാമ്പുകൾ എന്നിവ സംഘടിപ്പിക്കും.
ജൈവവൈവിധ്യത്തെ ആസ്പദമാക്കിയ പ്രത്യേക കവറുകൾ
അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര ജൈവവൈവിധ്യ ദിനത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ച്, കേരള പോസ്റ്റൽ സർക്കിൾ ‘മിനിറ്റ് ലൈഫ്’ എന്ന പ്രമേയത്തിൽ ആറ് പ്രത്യേക കവറുകൾ 2026 മേയ് 22-ന് കൊച്ചിയിൽ നടന്ന ചടങ്ങിൽ പുറത്തിറക്കി.
പശ്ചിമഘട്ടത്തിൽ മാത്രം കാണപ്പെടുന്ന ചിത്രശലഭങ്ങൾ, ഉറുമ്പുകൾ, ചീവീടുകൾ എന്നിവയുൾപ്പെടെ ആറ് പ്രാണി ഇനങ്ങളുടെ ചിത്രങ്ങളാണ് ഈ പ്രത്യേക കവറുകളിൽ ചിത്രീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.

Kerala Postal Circle ranks 3rd nationally in parcel revenue growth
The Department of Posts recorded a national revenue growth of 16 per cent during the financial year 2025-26. Reflecting this national momentum, the Kerala Postal Circle registered a 10 per cent growth in revenue, achieving double-digit growth for the first time in the post-lockdown period. In April 2026, the circle secured the third position nationally in growth in parcel revenue for the financial year 2026-27.
Announcing a series of new customer-centric initiatives at a press meet held in Kochi today, Chief Postmaster General Shri P.N. Ranjit Kumar said the Kerala Circle has launched pilot projects on parcel pick-up points , transportation of plants and seedlings, and same-day delivery, along with a revamped Mail Service Network. He also talked about the various social outreach programmes undertaken by the department, aimed at social and financial inclusivity.
Revolutionizing last-mile logistics
24/7 parcel collection through “Pick Post Express”
Kerala Postal Circle has launched “Pick Post Express”, enabling customers to collect domestic Speed Post letters and parcels at any time of the day throughout the week from designated delivery offices attached to major sorting hubs.
The pilot service has been introduced at Thiruvananthapuram Fort IDC (PIN 695023), Ernakulam Head Post Office (PIN 682011), and Kozhikode Head Post Office (PIN 673001).
The service offers priority processing, OTP and ID-based secure collection, and reliable handling of urgent consignments.
Same-day intercity delivery through “Capital Express”
Following the successful completion of its pilot phase, “Capital Express” has now been introduced as a full-fledged commercial service connecting major commercial centres in Kerala with the State capital.
Priority articles booked from centres including Kochi, Kottayam and Kollam are assured same-day delivery in Thiruvananthapuram city within 24 hours, establishing a “D+1” delivery model.
“Green Express” for agri-parcels
To support Kerala’s horticulture and nursery sectors, Kerala Postal Circle has introduced “Green Express”, a dedicated premium service for transportation of live plants and seedlings within one to two days.
Initially piloted in Thiruvananthapuram city and suburban areas, the service is now being expanded to major agricultural production centres including Wayanad, Idukki and Mannuthy in Thrissur district.
Transition to Road Transport Networks
To strengthen next-day delivery services, Kerala Postal Circle is shifting from traditional train-based transit systems to customized Road Transport Networks (RTNs).
Under the restructuring exercise, eight legacy train sections are being replaced with 13 specialized RTNs. The transition is expected to reduce transit expenditure by 43 per cent, resulting in annual savings of nearly ₹6 crore while improving delivery timelines.
Revenue verticals and technological modernization
The operational transformation of India Post is supported by restructuring into six specialized verticals — Post Office Savings Bank (POSB), Mail Operations, Parcels, International Relations and Global Business (IR&GB), Postal Life Insurance (PLI), and Citizen-Centric Services (CCS).
The modernization drive is powered by APT 2.0, an in-house digital platform developed and maintained by the Department of Posts. The platform supports secure digital payments, biometric updates, automated track-and-trace systems, and OTP-based delivery mechanisms.
Social outreach and financial inclusion
“Surakshitha Gramam”
Under the “Surakshitha Gramam” campaign, India Post is partnering with Grama Panchayats to ensure universal access to postal, banking and insurance services in rural areas. The programme aims to achieve full Postal Life Insurance (PLI) and Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) coverage in villages.
Kerala Postal Circle has set a target of covering all 941 Grama Panchayats in the State by August 31, 2026.
“Sampoorna Sukanya Samriddhi Vidyalaya”
The “Sampoorna Sukanya Samriddhi Vidyalaya” initiative focuses on opening Sukanya Samriddhi Accounts for all eligible girl children below the age of 10.
Successful drives have already been conducted at A.L.P. School, Elerithattummal in Kasaragod district and in Alappuzha Division, where 680 accounts were opened in a single campaign. Of these, 100 accounts were sponsored by the Rotary Club of Alappuzha with the support of District Collector Shri Alex Varghese IAS.
Aadhaar school camps
In collaboration with district administrations and the Education Department, India Post will organize Aadhaar enrolment and biometric update camps in schools across Kerala from June to August 2026 under a special “Camp Mode” initiative.
Special covers on biodiversity
Commemorating the International Day for Biological Diversity, Kerala Postal Circle released a set of six special covers themed “Minute Life” at a function held in Kochi on May 22, 2026.
The special covers depict six insect species endemic to the Western Ghats, including butterflies, ants and cicadas.
Kerala Postal Circle has invited members of the public, entrepreneurs and business establishments to make use of the newly introduced services aimed at providing faster, reliable and digitally enabled postal services.
